William L. Straube, age 66, of Edwardsville, IL, passed away on June 28, 2026, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL. He was born on February 2, 1960, in Alton, IL, the son of the William G. Straube and Ruth M. Churchich.

William is survived by his mother, Ruth Churchich; three children, William D. Straube & wife Emily Glinert, of Brookfield, WI, John L. Straube and wife Rosemary Crafton, of Edwardsville, IL, and Daniel G. Straube, of Edwardsville, IL; a granddaughter, Charolotte J. Straube of Brookfield, WI; three sisters, Vicky Audo and husband Tony, of Glenarm, IL, Renie Mullenschlader and husband Joe, of Maryville, IL, and Peggy Yates and husband Steve, of Monument, CO; beloved family friend Allie Bruner of Corydon, Indiana; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.  William was preceded in death by his father, William; and his daughter, Natalie K. Straube.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Weber and Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville beginning at 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. A Memorial Service will follow at noon with Pastor Dave Romoser presiding.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Glen-Ed Pantry.  Online condolences may be expressed at weberfuneralhome.com.
