William Lamkin

William H. Lamkin, age 85, of Edwardsville, IL, died November 3, 2003, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL. Visitation 4 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, November 5th, at the funeral home. Funeral services at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, November 6th, at Weber Funeral Home in Edwardsville, IL. Interment Forever Valley View Cemetery in Edwardsville, IL. Mr. Lamkin was a tester for Shell Oil Company in Wood River, Il. retiring in 1981. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Edwardsville. A Veteran of the US Army in WWII serving in the South Pacific. He was a member of American Legion Post 199. Survivors include his wife Lynette (Taake) Lamkin. Two daughters Lucia (Husband Ray) Weber of Edwardsville and Priscilla "Patsy" (Husband Ron) Grommet of Chester, Il. Four grandchildren Jason (Wife Julie) Weber, Erin Weber, Ellen And Abby Grommet. Two great grandchildren: Samantha & William Weber. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
