William Harris Obituary

William James Harris, age 74, of Edwardsville, IL, died January 20, 2002, at his residence in Edwardsville, Il. Funeral services at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, January 25, 2002, at Wesley Chapel A.M.E. Church in Edwardsville, IL. Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery in Edwardsville, IL. Mr. Harris was a hod carrier at Granite City Steel, retiring as a foreman in 1993. He was a trustee for the Wesley Chapel A.M.E. and currently served as a steward. He was a US Army veteran. He is survived by his wife Cora Vivian (Jones) Harris. Three sons: Robert L. Harris, Allan Harris, and John Harris. One daughter: Michelle Mayfield. Nine Grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and two sisters.
