Viola J. Barton, age 90, of Edwardsville, IL, died May 18, 2003, St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. Visitation 4 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, May 20th at Pletcher Funeral Home. Funeral services at 11 AM on Wednesay, May 21st, at Pletcher Funeral Home in Edwardsville, IL. Interment Forever Valley View Cemetery in Edwardsville, IL. Viola was a member of Eden United Church of Christ. She was a member of the Quilters at Eden Church, Eden Women Guild, Circle #2 and was and avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. Viola was preceded in death by her husband Harold B. Barton, a daughter Jo Ann Harris, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by two sons: Jerry (Patricia) Barton of Edwardsville and H. Thomas (Marsha) Barton of DeMotte, In. Seven grandchildren and five great grand.
