Vernon R. Stahlhut, age 82, of St. Petersburg, FL, formerly of Edwardsville, died November 24, 2003, at Largo Medical Center in Largo, FL. Funeral services at 2 PM on Saturday, December 6, 2003, at Weber Funeral Home in Edwardsville, IL. in . Mr. Stahlhut was a retired sales representative for Wieke Wholesale in Fairview Heights, IL. He was a veteran of the US Navy during WW II and a member of the American Legion in Madiera Beach, FL. He was also a Life Member of VFW post 1308 in Alton, IL. His memberships also included Wood River Moose Lodge 1349, the Elks Lodge in Largo, FL and Aldersgate Methodist Church in Seminole, FL. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Miller) Stahlhut; a son David Stahlhut; 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; and 2 sisters: Gerry Krason and Helen Robertson.
