Sharon Condron Obituary

Sharon S. Condron, of Glen Carbon, IL, formerly of Florissant, CO, passed away peacefully at the age of 81 on Monday, April 13, 2026, at Eden Village Care Center in Glen Carbon, IL.

Sharon was born in San Diego, CA, on July 16, 1944, the beloved daughter of the late William J. Slone and E. “Patricia” (Taylor) Slone. She married James D. Condron on November 18, 1979, at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, and they shared 46 years of marriage.

In addition to her loving husband, Sharon is survived by her three children: Amanda Durell (husband Daryl) of Glen Carbon, IL; James Roher (wife Alison) of Fort Worth, TX; and David Condron of Asheville, NC. She was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren: Tessa Easley (husband Philip) of Pflugerville, TX; Darien Durell of Chicago, IL; Marc Wolf of Germany; Jodie Rohrer of Chicago, IL; Aimee Rohrer of England; Devon Rohrer of Texas; Kyla Condron, Ava Condron, and Elora Condron, all of Asheville, NC. She was also blessed with four great-grandchildren: Emilia Easley, Evelyn Easley, Nova Clark, and Neven Wolf.

Sharon is further survived by her sisters, Kathy Slone of Baltimore, MD, and Michele Crowe of Tampa, FL; her brother, Michael Slone (wife Marsha) of Annapolis, MD; and her niece, Elisabeth, also of Annapolis, MD.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Rebecca A. Condron; her brother-in-law, Brian Crowe; and her former husband, Stephen Rohrer.

Sharon had a deep love for reading and found great peace being in nature. She served as a past president of The Arc in Lompoc, CA, where she was an active and passionate supporter of the organization’s mission to promote respect, inclusion, and empowerment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

In accordance with her wishes, Sharon was cremated. A wake to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
