Shareen Bornemann Obituary

Shareen Ann Bornemann, age 68, of Newburg, MO, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Born on May 25, 1957, in Oxnard, California, Shareen lived a full and meaningful life devoted to her family, her Lord, and her calling to care for others.

Shareen spent her early adult years raising five children with her late husband, Lonnie Mauck—a role she embraced with love, strength, and fierce dedication. Her heart for caregiving extended beyond her family as she later became a registered nurse, devoting herself to the care of elderly patients. Nursing wasn’t just a profession for her—it was a passion, and she touched countless lives with her compassion and commitment.

After the passing of her first husband and childhood sweetheart, Shareen was given another blessing in Tim Bornemann, her husband with whom she spent the last eleven years of her life. Tim and Shareen’s time together was marked by more laughter, more family, and more to be thankful for.

Shareen was known for her adventurous spirit and her love of the open road—she would often drive great distances with the radio turned up just to spend time with her family. Some of her happiest times involved having her family surrounding her while laughing and singing. Larger than life in both personality and heart, Shareen’s unwavering faith in her heavenly Father carried her through every aspect of her life. She was a source of strength and love to all who knew her. Shareen loved to laugh and her loyalty to friends and family was unmatched.

She is survived by her husband, Tim Bornemann; her children Rebekah Chestnut (Drew), Laura Brown (Justin), Gayle Fabian (Peter), Lonnie Mauck Jr. (Margy), and William Mauck (Denise); step-daughters April Ortega (Art), Heidi Webb (Steven), and Bridgette Uribe (Enrique); her Mother Betty Reedy, brother John-Michael Reedy (Jessica), sister Cindy Betzinger (Michael), numerous and precious nieces and nephews; 24 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren who brought her immense pride and joy.

She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of goodness, joy, compassion and unwavering faith lives on in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and all those she cared for over the years.
