Ronda A. Rea

Ronda A. Rea, age 73, of Collinsville, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Eden Village Care Center in Glen Carbon, Illinois.

Ronda was born on June 25, 1952, in Wood River, Illinois, the daughter of the late Riley J. Bowermaster and Noreda A. (Lack) Bowermaster. She married Larry Rea on December 24, 1986, in Godfrey, Illinois, and together they shared 41 years of marriage.

In addition to her loving husband, Larry Rea, Ronda is survived by her daughter, Wendy Gardner, and her husband, Scott Gardner, of St. Louis, Missouri; two grandchildren, Lauren (Gardner) Hartnett and her husband, Matthew Hartnett, and Mackenzie Gardner, both of St. Louis, Missouri; and two great-grandchildren, Levi and Lane Hartnett. She is also survived by her sister, Terry Gebhart, and her husband, Dave Gebhart, of Edwardsville, Illinois, and her brother, Karl Bowermaster, and his wife, Debbie Bowermaster, of Hartford, Illinois.

Ronda generously donated her body to the Washington University School of Medicine. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
