Robert Miller Obituary

Robert “Bob” “Cave” “Robbie” Alan Miller, age 64, of Edwardsville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at Mercy Hospital St. Louis. Bob was born on May 19, 1961, in East St. Louis, IL, the son of the late Robert L. & Billie J. (Hopper) Miller. Bob met the love of his life in August of 1987 and married Leah Marie (Russell) Miller on August 5, 1995, in Troy, IL.  Bob and Leah honeymooned to Canada on a fly-fishing trip.  Even though it was Leah’s idea to go fishing everyone razzed Bob for it. Besides his wife of 30 years, Bob is survived by two sons, Adam M. Miller, of Edwardsville, IL, Joshua A. Miller, of Edwardsville, IL; a daughter, Anna M. Miller, of Edwardsville, IL; a grandson, Adam M. Miller, of Litchfield, IL; four siblings, Carole Cook, of Belleville, IL, Sue Done, of Collinsville, IL, Michael Miller, of St. Louis, MO, and Lori Kapp, of O’Fallon, MO; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Bob was preceded in death by a sister, Patty Schweppe; and a brother, Johnny Miller. Bob was raised in the Catholic church went to Catholic school when he was young. His family moved around Belleville, Collinsville, Glen Carbon areas growing up and attended high school in Edwardsville.    Bob along with his wife, were the owners/operators of B&R Service Company and Chimney Sweep.

Bob did a lot of mechanical work on his own vehicles and for his family and friends.  If he didn't know how to do something he would read up, ask questions, and figure it out.  Bob kept all our vehicles and equipment running longer than most. He had a knack for diagnostics.

Bob also loved camping, fishing, boating, wave runners, 4 wheelers, gardening, anything outdoors.  Bob and wife also homeschooled their children all through school.  He often hung out at the KC Hall in Edwardsville.  He was always helping somebody with something.   He found Jesus when we first started dating.   Struggled with his anger, faith, addictions, but he came back to Jesus and went peacefully home. Bob was the love of Leah’s life, his one and only and his wife and family will miss him deeply until they meet again.

Bob was cremated and as per his wishes no services are planned.  The family suggests memorials to Sacred Spaces of Care. Condolences may be shared online at weberfuneralhome.com.
