Richard D. Bridwell, age 75, of Glen Carbon,IL. formerly of Edwardsville, IL, died April 26, 2002, at his home in Glen Carbon, IL. Visitation was from 4 PM to 8 PM on Monday, April 26th, at the funeral home. Funeral services at 8 PM on Monday, April 26th, at Weber Funeral Home in Edwardsville, IL. Inurnment Valley View Cemetery in Edwardsville, IL. Mr. Bridwell worked at Shell Oil Company in Wood River for 30 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Edwardsville and a vetaran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany. Survivors include 2 sons: Richard Lee (Gloria) Bridwell of Texas; Gregory Dale Bridwell of Edwardsivlle; One daughter: Darla Jean Caldwell of Edwardsville; Three Grandchildren; Four Great Grand; Two brothers: James G. Bridwell and Dean Bridwell of Edwardsville; Two sisters: Maxine Dawson of Glen Carbon and Cathryn Marshall of Atlanta, Ks. He was preceded by his first wife: Darlene M. (Henke) Bridwell and his second wife Shirley M. (Williams) Bridwell. One sister: Lawanda Beth also preceded.
