Ray Jurgena

Ray E. Jurgena, age 77, of Wood River, Illinois, died December 15, 2002, at VIP Manor in Wood River, Illinois. Funeral services at 10 AM on Wednesday, December 18, 2002, at Weber Funeral Home in Edwardsville, IL. Burial was at Witt Cemetery in Witt, Illinois. Mr. Jurgena worked for Chicago and Eastern Rail Road for 26 years. Upon his retirement, he opened his own business, selling used cars for 22 years, retiring in 1992. He was a veteran of the US Army. He is survived by his wife, Maxine (Howland) Jurgena; 1 son, Rodney Jurgena; 3 daughters: Linda Cooper, Priscella Belden, and Marilyn Cohn; 2 sisters: Maybelle Mayfield and Aileen Cross; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
