Patrick Kelly, age 90, of DuBois, Pa. , died August 23, 2003, DuBois Regional Medical Ceneter in DuBois, Pa. Visitation was held Tuesday, August 26th in DuBois, Pa. Funeral services at 10 AM on Wednesday, August 27th at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church in DuBois, Pa. A committal service was held at 2 PM Friday, August 29th at Calvary Cemetery Chapel. Interment in Calvary Cemetery in Glen Carbon, IL. Born in Dublin, Ireland, his mother Catherine (Crowe) Kelly died in childbirth and his father James died in WWI. He was raised by his grandmother, Ellen Dalany Kelly. He was preceded in death by his wife Catherine (Hayden) Kelly. He was a veteran of WWII in the British Army. He was a carpenter for over 40 years in England and the United States. His memberships included St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in DuBois and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Edwardsville, IL. He was active in local Carpenter's union where he served on the apprentice committee and volunteered many hours of carpentry to local school and church functions. He was a long-standing member of the Democratic Club and an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan. Survivors include his daughter Kelly (David) Spacht of DuBois, Pa. and two grandchildren: Kim Blenk of Portland, Ma and Kirk Goldsberry of Santa Barbara, Ca. Memorials may be directed to St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church or St. Mary's Catholic Church.
