Patricia T. Rudloff of Edwardsville, passed away peacefully on the morning of January 19th, 2025. She was born April 3 1939, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of the late William A. and Irene (Mundy) Thau.
She was married to Elmer (Rudy) Rudloff for 51 years. He proceeded her in death on May 5th, 2012.
She is survived by four sons, John Mark of Apple Valley, MN David, Robert, Peter & wife Madelynn of Edwardsville, IL and 3 granddaughters, Heather Hanson, Abby and Kayla Rudloff, and 3 great granddaughters, Brinton, Marla and Desi Hanson and four brothers William A. Thau Jr. (proceeded in death) and his wife Jane, Michael Thau, Robert Thau and wife Varisa and Christopher Thau and his husband Danny Dugan (sp.?) and her niece Stephanie Woehl.
Pat was a graduate of Nerinx Hall High School in Webster Groves, MO and of Southeast Missouri State College in Cape Girardeau, MO. Pat was a teacher for the Pattonville School District prior to working for more than 30 years at the family dental supply company (Thau-Nolde, Inc) where she served as President for 23 years. During this time, she also served on several committees in St. Louis such as Operation NightWatch, Operation BrightSide and BPW. She was committed to making the city she worked in a safer and more attractive place to be.
Pat was a longtime member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Edwardsville where she sang in the choir. She was also a member and volunteer for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Southwestern IL, serving on the Board of Directors and as facilitator of family support meetings for many years. She loved nature, and vacationing in the mountains of Colorado with her Family. Also church and NAMI where the loves of her life.
Patricia will be cremated according to her wishes, and her ashes spread in a private ceremony by her family members in a location dear to her heart. A Celebration of life service is planned for, 11:00am, April 12th, 2025, at St. Andrew’s Church, followed by a reception at the same location. The family requests that memorials be made to St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church of Edwardsville, IL and NAMI Southwest of Illinois (SWI).
