Orville Marti,

Orville George Marti, Sr. age 83, of Edwardsville, IL. formerly Highland, Il. died at 6:32 am Friday, April 9, 2004 at the Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL. He was a cabinet maker at Mechanics Planning Mill in Glen Carbon for 35 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Edwardsville, Past Elder at First Presbyterian, past board member of Edwardsville YMCA, Past 4th ward alderman, and past Chairman of Board of Trustees. Orville is survived by his wife Hazel (Page) Marti, one son, Orville G. "Dick" Marti, Jr. & his wife Luz of Tifton, Ga., one daughter, Miriam "Mimi" Braun, of Troy, Il. Six grandchildren. One great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Page Sokoloff, 3 brothers, and 1 sister. Visitation will be from 5pm - 7pm Monday, April 12, 2004 at Weber Funeral Home where services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, April 13th. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates. Memorial maybe directed to American Cancer Society.
