Nancy A. Hellmann

Nancy A. Hellmann, age 89, of Glen Carbon, IL, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Eden Village Care Center in Glen Carbon.  Nancy was born on July 2, 1935, the daughter of the late Clifford & Cora (Sanderson) Widener in Bremen, OH.  Nancy married Edwin G. Hellmann on May 24, 1953, in Hamel, IL. Edwin preceded Nancy in death on June 27, 2010, after 57 years of marriage together.  Nancy is survived by a son, of Matthew E. Hellmann of Alton, IL; two daughters, Angela Markuly & husband Kirk, of Edwardsville, IL, and Lisa Hanes & husband Frank of Staunton, IL; two grandchildren; Lucas Weis & wife Jackie, of Hamel, IL, and Emily Voyles & husband Ryan, of Worden, IL; and three great grandchildren, Grace Weis, Jack Weis, & Hudson Voyles.  Besides her parents and husband, Nancy was preceded in death by a son, Jon M. Hellmann; a daughter, Vanessa Weis; two brothers; and five sisters.  Nancy enjoyed shopping and playing bingo. She also adored lady bugs and hummingbirds.  Most of all she loved her family. Nancy will be cremated according to her wishes and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Condolences may be expressed online at weberfuneralhome.com.
