Michael Ramey

Michael Ramey, age 70, of Edwardsville, IL, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, June 28, 2024.  Michael was born on March 9, 1954, in Litchfield, IL, the son of the late Dale & Betty (Kellenberger) Ramey.  Michael married Mindy (Neuenschwander) Ramey on April 16, 1983, in Edwardsville, IL.  Besides his wife of 41 years, Michael is survived by his three children, David Ramey, of Granite City, IL, Kacie White (Marty) of New Athens, IL, and Ashley Ramey (Chris Oatsvall, Jr.) of Lebanon, IL; six grandchildren, Savannah & Grady White, of New Athens, IL, August Young, of Edwardsville, IL, Marley & Millie Thomas, of Lebanon, IL, and Cameron Oatsvall, of Carlinville, IL; two sisters, Gale (John) Bivens, of Ashville, OH, and Suzi ( Alan) Legate, of Pontoon Beach, IL; four brothers, Paul (Cathy) Ramey, of Florissant, MO, David (Cindy) Ramey, of Pontoon Beach, IL, Gary (Susan) Ramey, of Edwardsville, IL, and Phillip (Shelle) Ramey, of Granite City, IL; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Michael retired from Wonder Hostess Bakery after working there for 30 years.  Michael enjoyed playing guitar, watching sports especially football, spending time with family and friends, he loved to spend time on the computer writing a book, articles, researching many topics, he also had a passion for astrology.  A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm.   A Celebration of Life will follow after the memorial visitation.  Family request memorials may be made to The American Heart Association, Whitley’s Wishes, or St. Jude’s.  Condolences may be expressed online at weberfuneralhome.com.
