Mary Anne Kay Wiegand, age 74, of Glen Carbon, IL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Eden Village Care Center in Glen Carbon.  Mary was born in Highland, IL, on November 9, 1951, the daughter of the late Anton & Rose (Votava) Shimunek.  She married Terry L. Wiegand on January 1, 1977 in Edwardsville.  Terry preceded her on death on May 28, 2013. Mary is survived by her daughter, Crystal Lee Wiegand, of Glen Carbon, IL; three granddaughters, Rose Mary Wiegand, Crystal Rose Wiegand, and Serenity Wiegand; a grandson, Kody Lee Timmons, five siblings, Larry Shimunek, of Edwardsville, IL, Diane Mitchell & husband Mike, of Greenville, IL, Joannie Shimunek, of Edwardsville,  IL, Ricky Shimunek, of Godfrey, IL, and David Shimunek & wife Chris, of Holiday Shores, IL; and many nieces & nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by a daughter, Tera Ann Wiegand; and a brother, Tony Shimunek.  Mary was a very devoted and family-oriented person.  All of her family was very important to her.  Mary was cremated according to her wishes.  Condolences may be expressed online at weberfuneralhome.com
