Mark E. Lasseigne, age 64, of Edwardsville, IL, entered into his eternal rest on Monday, July 1, 2024, at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon, Ill. Mark was born in New Orleans, LA, on March 10, 1960, the son of Alice (McKno) Lasseigne and the late Paul Lasseigne. Mark married Diane (Stohs) Lasseigne on August 3, 1985, in Bremen, KS. In addition to his mother and wife of 38 years, Mark is survived by his two children, Philip Lasseigne and his wife Kaitlin, of Edwardsville, IL, and Aimee (Lasseigne) Garrison and her husband Cory, of Evansville, IN; four grandchildren, Mallory Hurt, Samuel Lasseigne, Violet Lasseigne, and Willow Lasseigne; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mark was baptized into Christ on April 10, 1960, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Metairie, La. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Edwardsville, Ill., and served as an elder and member of several church committees. Mark had an unwavering faith in Christ and the promise of the resurrection.
Mark graduated from the University of New Orleans in 1984 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He spent most of his career as a structural engineer, designing and inspecting bridges.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2024, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church in Edwardsville. Visitation will continue on Monday, July 8, 2024, from 9:00 am - 10:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church with a funeral service at 10:00 am with Rev. Jess Biermann presiding. Interment will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon, IL. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials to Trinity Lutheran Ministries or The American Parkinson Disease Association. Condolences may be expressed online at weberfuneralhome.com.
