Lula Bell Downs, age 63, of Bethalto, Formerly Edwardsville, IL, died April 3, 2002, Kindred Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. Funeral services at 11:30 AM on Monday, April 7, 2002, at Weber Funeral Home in Edwardsville, IL. Burial was at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Mrs. Downs was an Ordained Minsiter of the Church of Jesus Christ. and a member fo the Lighhouse Gospel Singers. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Edwardsville. She is survived by two sons: Michael Taylor and John Parrick; Three daughters: Joy Epperson, Christine Sederes, & Connie Zummo; 16 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren; Five brothers; Sonny, David, Frank Daniel, & Melvin Crossin; Two sisters: Kathleen Saquing and Mary Schrieber. She was preceded by her husband Albert O. Downs.
