Lucille Newport

Lucille M. Newport, age 84, of Glen Carbon, IL, died July 28, 2002,Highland Health Care in Highland, IL. Visitation was from 4 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, July 30th, at the funeral home. Funeral services at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 31st, at Weber Funeral Home in Edwardsville, IL. Following Cremation interment will be at City Cemetery in Evansville, IL. Mrs. Newport was a retired school teacher having taught in Beach Grove, In., Southern Illinois, and St. Louis, MO. She was a methodist and an avid brige player. She is survived by two sons: James Newport of Indianapolis, In., and Louis (Nancy) Newport of Glen Carbon, IL. Two daughters preceded her in death: Patricia Chambers and Kathy Earle. One sister survives Katherine Zalinski of Chicago. Memorials may be given to Washington University Memory and Aging Project.
