Louis Schmidt

Louis A. Schmidt, age 75, of Edwardsville, IL, died February 14, 2002, St. Mary's Health Center in St. Louis, Mo. Funeral services at 11 AM on Monday, February 18th, at Eden United Church of Christ in Edwardsville, IL. Burial was at St. James Cemetery in Edwardsville, IL. Mr. Schmidt retired from Dow Chemical in Madison and Stahley Carthage in Edwardsville. He was a volunteer for over 20 years at Eden Village Retirement Center. He was a member of Eden United Church of Christ, Veteran of US Army and US Army Air Corps serving in WWII and Korea. He was a member of American Legion Post 199 and the Romeo Club. He is survived by his wife Aletha M. (Fickbohm) Schmidt, two brothers, and two sisters.
