LaVerne E. Ranek, age 82, of Edwardsville, IL, died November 29, 2003, at her home in Edwardsville, Il. Visitation 4 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, December 2nd, at the funeral home. Funeral services at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 3rd, at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Hamel, Illinois. Interment Imannuel UCC Cemetery in Hamel, Il. LaVerne was a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Hamel and the Imannuel Women's Guild. Survivors include her husband Anton A. "Tony" Ranek. Two sons: Bill (Wife Deb) Ranek of Carmel, In. and Robert Ranek of Hamel, IL. Two daughters: Elaine (Husbnd Dave) Kalish of Edwardsville and Deb Ohlson of Edwardsville. Eleven Grandchildren. Five Great Grand. She was preceded in death by two brothers Lester and Vernon Buesking. Family suggests memorials to Imanuel UCC or Gateway Hospice.
