Karen Kacer

Karen Kacer, age 68, of Edwardsville, IL, formerly of Collinsville, IL, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, at La Bella of Edwardsville.  Karen was born on August 15, 1957, in Highland, IL, the daughter of Esther (Koch) Kacer and the late Lawrence “Larry” Kacer.  Besides her mother Esther, Karen is survived by two sisters, Lisa K. Kacer, of Glen Carbon, IL, and Susan M. Sabolo & husband, Mick of Wood River, IL; and many nieces & nephews. Karen held a master’s degree in library science & worked at various libraries.  She had a love for books and helping others.  Karen was cremated according to her wishes and a graveside service will be held at a later date at Buck Road Cemetery in Maryville, IL, where she will be interred.  Condolences may be shared online at weberfuneralhome.com.
