Julia Ann Hoppe

Julia Ann Hoppe, 92, of Edwardsville, Illinois died at 8:05am on Sunday November 2, 2025, at Anderson Hospital, in Maryville, IL. Julia was a resident at Eden Village in Glen Carbon, IL. She was born on January 29, 1933, and she was the daughter of the late Olga (Gent) and Earl Heberer.

She married the late Willard C. Hoppe in 1956. Willard preceded Julia in death on April 15, 2015.  Besides her parents and husband, Julia was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Jo Hoppe; her son, Alan C. Hoppe; two grandchildren, Tyler Deneen Hoppe, of Alton, IL, and Melissa Hoppe, of Carbondale, IL; brothers, Earl Heberer of Brea, CA, Donald Heberer, of Newhall, CA, James Heberer, of Branson, MO; a sister Joan (Heberer) Senseny, of Chesterfield, MO; and a nephew, Eric Heberer of Newhall, CA. 

She is survived by her granddaughters, Tara L. Hoppe, of Edwardsville, and Ashley Esmon of Staunton, IL; two great grandchildren, Jake & Eloise Esmon, a grandson Zach Clubb, niece, Vickie Vanzo Stassi & husband Sam Stassi, and nephew, Mark Vanzo, along with other family in California and Illinois, and many friends. 

Julia worked for many years for Edison Brothers Stores, Inc. in St. Louis, Missouri, and retired in 1997.  She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Edwardsville, Illinois where she attended school,and Mass every Sunday at St. Boniface, and in her later years of life attended Spanish Mass on Saturday mornings. 

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville from 10:00 am till 12:00 pm, and a service will follow immediately at noon with Very Rev. Jeffrey H. Goeckner presiding.
