Julia Fields

Julia M. Fields, age 96, of Edwardsville, died at 10:05 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2004 at her residence. She was born February 26, 1908 in Ft. Russell Township, Illinois, the daughter of the late Christian Reinhardt and Sophie (Wiegmann) Schmidt. She married Jesse E. Fields July 3, 1926 in Wood River, Illinois. He preceded her in death October 2, 1992. Mrs. Fields was a member of Eden United Church of Christ, a member of Circle #2 and the Quilters at Eden Church. She is survived by 1 daughter, Joyce Lony of Edwardsville; 1 grandchild, Stephanie (Paul) King of Edwardsville; and 2 great-grandchildren: Joey King and Brandi King. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers, 3 sisters, and 1 son-in-law, Darrel Lony. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2004 at Weber Funeral Home in Edwardsville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 12, 2004 at Eden United Church of Christ in Edwardsville with Rev. Jim Coode, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery in Ft. Russell Township. Memorials may be given to Eden Foundations of Ministry or Faith In Action.
