Jonathan Keith Nolen, age 54, of Collinsville, IL, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Jonathan was born on August 27, 1969, in Alton, IL, the son of Margaret Carolen (Buchanan) Hodge and the late John J. Nolen. Besides his mother, Jonathan is survived by his three children, Charity (Nolen) Kocemba, of Washington, Timothy Nolen, of Texas, and Samantha Nolen, of Oregon; five brothers, James Nolen, Joseph Nolen, Jacob Nolen, Jeffery Nolen, of Illinois and Joshua Nolen, of Nevada; and many nieces and nephews. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Edwardsville. Jonathan was a carpenter. He was passionate about being in the service of others in need, such as with his church and neighbors using the many skills he learned in his trade. In his free time, he was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm till 4:00 pm on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2250 South State Route 157, Edwardsville IL 62025. The memorial service will follow at 4:00 pm also at the church with Bishop Bryce Sever officiating. Jonathan will be cremated according to his wishes.
