John J. Ireland, age 84, of Glen Carbon, Illinois, died Decembar 25, 2002, at Eden Village Care Center in Glen Carbon, Illinois. Funeral services at 1 PM on Saturday, December 28, 2002, at Weber Funeral Home in Edwardsville, IL. Burial was at Roselawn Gardens of Memory in Bethalto, Illinois. Mr. Ireland was employed as a production plannner at McDonnell-Douglas in St. Louis. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Wood River and the Disabled American Veterans. He was a US Army veteran of WW II. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn (Bartels) Ireland; 2 sons: Jan J. (wife Marlene) Ireland and Daniel J. (wife Diane) Ireland; a daughter, Deborah (husband Baron) Cheffer; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister and 2 brothers.
