Jeffrey D. Ory

Jeffrey D. Ory, age 69, of Marine, IL, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield, MO.  Jeff was born in Alton, IL, on February 15, 1956, the son of Ruth Louise (Bouchet) Ory and the late Flint Joseph Ory.  Jeff married Kathleen D. (Wood) Ory on April 10, 1976, in Wood River, IL.  They shared 49 wonderful years of marriage.  Jeff is survived by his mother, beloved wife and his three children, Wynter Farmer & husband Brian, of Edwardsville, IL, Flint Ory & wife Theresa, of Cumming, GA, and Brett Ory & wife Meranda, of High Ridge, MO.  He is the proud grandfather of seven grandchildren, Arrington Farmer, of Dallas, TX, Calder Farmer, of Edwardsville, IL, Karpenter Farmer, of Edwardsville, IL, Brennen Ory, of Cumming, GA, Beckett Ory, of Cumming, GA, Rousseau Ory, of Cumming, GA, and Genevieve Ory, of High Ridge, MO; two brothers, Robert “Bob” Ory & wife Barbara, of Ft. Smith, AR, and Steve Ory & wife Lisa, of Edwardsville, IL; and a sister, Kathleen Tousey, of St. Louis, MO.  Besides his father, Jeff was preceded in death by two sisters, Diane Ory and Mary Christine Ory.  Jeff was the President of Interstate Petroleum, Inc. and retired in 2019 after 33 years of dedicated leadership and service.  A gifted woodworker, Jeff crafted everything from kitchen cabinets to custom beds—happily fulfilling every request from his wife and children. He was also an avid sports fan, especially of baseball, and found joy in fishing, particularly at Kentucky Lake. He cherished time spent on the water and made countless memories with family and friends in his boat. More than anything, Jeff was happiest when surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren, and extended family. He was a devoted father and grandfather who never missed a game—whether basketball, baseball, or even soccer, which he came to enjoy over time. A man of deep faith, Jeff was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Edwardsville and a member of the Edwardsville Lions Club. A visitation will take place from 9:30 am until 11:00 am on Monday, June 30, 2025, at St Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville.  A funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am also at St. Boniface with Rev. Robert J. Jallas presiding.  The family suggests memorials to the Lung Association or Alzheimer’s Association.  Condolences may be expressed online at weberfuneralhome.com.
