Helen Margarette Bartels, age 81, of Edwardsville, IL, died February 21, 2003, at Sunbridge of Edwardsville in Edwardsville, IL. Funeral services were private on Monday, February 24, 2003, at Weber Funeral Home in Edwardsville, IL. Burial was at Forever Valley View in Edwardsville, IL. Mrs. Bartels is survived by a son, Michael (Paula) Bartels; a daughter, Peggy (Ralph) Kessinger; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor H. Bartels; 6 brothers: Galen, Robert, & Darrell Holder, and Floyd, Frank, & Carl Thompson; and 2 sisters: Mina Hansen and Agnes Day.
