Gregory W. Wojcik

Gregory W. Wojcik, age 65, of Glen Carbon, IL, passed away at his residence on Sunday, March 8, 2025.  Greg was born on May 24, 1959, in Rome, NY, the son of the late William J. & Shirley F. (Schultze) Wojcik.  Greg met the love of his life Ann Fedor in 1994 at the Broadway Oyster Bar and had been together for 31 years.   Besides Ann, Greg is survived by two sisters, Linda Plunkett, of Blossvale, NY, and Lorie Loren, of Round Rock, TX.  Besides his parents, Greg was preceded in death by a sister, Sandy Crump.  Greg earned a master’s degree in political science from the University of Missouri. He then took a job at Illinois State University where he taught political science.   Greg eventually moved careers and found himself in the restaurant industry, where he eventually ended up running the Broadway Oyster Bar in St. Louis for many years.  He was a very talented chef and could make just about anything.  He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville.  Greg will be cremated according to his wishes.  Condolences may be expressed online at weberfuneralhome.com.
