Glenn G. Kruckeberg, age 72, of Edwardsville, IL, died January 1, 2003, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL. Funeral services at 11 AM on Saturday, January 4, 2003, at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Hamel Illinois. Burial was at St. James Cemetery in Edwardsville, IL. Mr. Kruckeberg was a truck driver for Klueter Bros. Concrete Products in Edwardsville for 39 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member and Past Commander of Worden American Legion Post 564, a member of Madison County Legion, and a veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Hamel, where he was Past President of the Church Council,and a member of the Immanuel UCC Brotherhood. He is survived by his wife, Loretta (Schermann) Kruckeberg; 2 sons: Mark (Lori) Kruckeberg and Michael (Carol) Kruckeberg; 1 daughter, Joyce (Steve) Towner; 6 grandchildren; 2 brothers: Dean Kruckeberg and Dale Kruckeberg; 1 sister, Verlene Urekar; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Langewalter; and a brother-in-law, Alvin Daube. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Alma Schermann; a brother, Leo Kruckeberg; a sister, Alberta Daube; and 2 sisters-in-law: Opal and Sue Kruckeberg.
