Esther Havelka

Esther L. Havelka, age 91, of Glen Carbon, IL, died February 12, 2003, at Baptist Care Center in Oklahoma City, Ok. Visitation will be fromm 4 PM to 8 PM on Friday, February 21st, at Weber Funeral Home. Funeral services at 11 AM on Saturday, February 22nd, at St. John's United Church of Christ in Midway, IL. Burial at St. John's Church Cemetery in Midway, IL. Esther was a homemaker. She was previously employed as the University of Illinois in Champaign and Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. She was a life member of St. John's U.C.C. in Midway, Secretary of the Montclair Bowling League for 12 years. She was an avid bowler and particpated in the Senior Olympics for 18 years. She was a member of the Edwardsville Moose Lodge 1561. Esther was preceded in death by her husband Charles F. Havelka. Survivors include a daughter Donna Lea (Robert) Morris, A daughter-in-law Helga (Clifford) Johnson; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three sisters: Wilma Langendorf, Josephine Buhrle, & Doris (Melvin) Meyer.
