Ernest Mahs

Ernest E. Mahs, age 54, of Edwardsville, IL, died Monday, September 15, 2003, at his residence in Edwardsville. Funeral services at 10 AM on Friday, September 19, 2003, at Pletcher Funeral Home in Edwardsville, IL. Interment of his ashes at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri. Ernie was the co-owner of Edwardsville Home Service, a custom home and remodeling business, for over 20 years. He was a 1966 graduate of Luther South High School in Chicago and attended North Central College in Naperville, IL. He served in the US Air Force from 1970-74 and was discharged with the rank of E5 (Staff Sergeant). He is survived by his wife Sandra (Schaepperkoetter) Mahs; a step-son David Schaepperkoetter; a sister, Joyce Hecht; a niece, Traci Wilson; and his mother-in-law, Louise Young.
