Elmer Pape Obituary

Elmer H. Pape, age 88, of Glen Carbon, Illinois, died August 31, 2002, at Eden Village Care Center in Glen Carbon. Funeral services at 1 PM on Saturday, September 7, 2002, at Weber Funeral Home in Edwardsville, IL. Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery in Edwardsville, IL. Mr. Pape was a self-employed farmer for 31 years. In 1971, he started a career in real estate, working for Walt Schlemer Realty, retiring in 1991. He was a member of Eden United Church of Christ in Edwardsville. He is survived by his wife, Irene (Nuemann) Pape; 2 daughters: Sharon Bode and Barbara Burian; 1 sister, Selma Bangert; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Knocke.
