Ellen Stanberry

Ellen D. Stanberry, age 70, of Glen Carbon, IL, died November 9, 2003, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL. Funeral services at 6 PM on Tuesday, November 11, 2003, at St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Belleville, IL. According to her wishes her remains were donated to Washington University School of Medicine. Mrs. Stanberry was retired from Henning School in Troy, IL, having taught mainly kindergarten and first grade. She was a compassionate teacher and was concerned for her students, family, friends, and school. She was a graduate of Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL, and and a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Belleville. She is survived by her husband Eugene; a daughter, Shanna (Deron) Boyer; and 3 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
