Edith Morris

Edith Morris, age 87, of Edwardsville, died at 10:55 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2004 at Edwardsville Rehabilitation and Care Center East. She was born January 21, 1917, the daughter of the late Delindo and Lena Lenzi Caselli. She married William E. Morris, Sr. June 29, 1940 in Collinsville. He preceded her in death December 21, 1999. She is survived by her son, William E. Morris, Jr.; 2 grandchildren: Melissa Morris of Collinsville and Angela Morris of Edwardsville; 1 brother, Eugene Caselli of Carlinville; and 1 sister, Elaine Caselli of Carlinville. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Attilio Caselli and Guy Caselli; and a sister, Irma Bollini. Mrs. Morris worked st the Carlinville Glove Factory for 18 years. She also worked at the marine Garment Factory for 21 years, retiring in 1979. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Monday, April 5 at Weber Funeral Home in Edwardsville. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 6 at the funeral home with Rev. John Corredato, CSV, officiating. Burial will be in New Calvary Cemetery in Carlinville. Memorials may be given to St. Boniface Building Fund or to masses.
