Earl Willis Goodman, Jr.

Earl Willis Goodman, Jr, age 94, of Edwardsville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Earl was born on June 17, 1930, in Indianapolis, IN, the son of the late Earl W. & Dorothy E. (Jeffery) Goodman.  Earl married Gloria J. (Wikle) Goodman on December 26, 1949, in Vincennes, IN.  Besides his wife of 74 years, Earl is survived by his three children, Bradley Goodman & his wife Marcia, of Glen Carbon, IL, James Goodman & his wife Shelley, of Glen Carbon, IL, and Angela Nester & her husband Edward, of Worden, IL; five grandchildren, Dominic Goodman & his wife Sarah Monaco, of Maryville, IL, Cassandra Ortgiesen & her husband Adam, of Mt. Vernon, IL, Rynn Earl Goodman & his wife Dr. Tiffany Somerville, of Ashland, OR; Madelyn Goodman, of Edwardsville, IL, and Kathryn Goodman, of Edwardsville, IL; two great grandchildren, Eva Ortgiesen and Alyssa Ortgiesen.  Besides his parents, Earl was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Moore; and a stepfather, James B. Fisher.  Earl was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Edwardsville.  He was a veteran of the US Air Force.  Earl was cremated according to his wishes.  A memorial service will be held on November 2, 2024, at 10:00 am at St.  Andrews Episcopal Church, 406 Hillsboro Ave, in Edwardsville, IL. with Fr.
