Dyann R. Bengtson

Dyann R. Bengtson, age 53, of Glen Carbon, IL, was called home Friday, December 6, 2024, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.  Dyann was born April 20, 1971, in Denver, CO. She is the daughter of Harlan & Kathryn (Hotovec) Bengtson. Besides her parents, Dyann is survived by her three children, Michael & his wife Kay, of Ballwin, MO, Sarah & her fiancé Julius, of Kissimmee, FL, and Eric & his wife Cherise, of Collinsville, IL; six grandchildren, Amiya Lockett, Em’mori Brown, Amari Lockett, Alijah Brown, Amir Lockett, and Majesty Brown; her three siblings, Lavay & her significant other Ed, of Edwardsville, IL, Craig & his significant other Colleen, of Glen Carbon, IL, and Joe & his wife Katie, of Granite City, IL; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Dyann was preceded in death by a sister, Sara Kathleen Bengston and Niece Abbey Michelle Rodgers.  Dyann spent most of her time with the love of her life, Rohan Johnson. Besides her love for bingo and card games, she loved nothing more than spending time with family and close friends. Holidays were a staple in her household, especially Christmas. Dyann’s love was immensely contagious. Her heart touched everyone around her; there was nothing she wouldn't do if anyone was in need. She also enjoyed traveling. Most of all, she loved her family and cherished her grandbabies, known as “the littles”.  The littles always called her Ga-Ga. Dyann will be cremated according to her wishes and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Our Lord's Lutheran Church 150 Wilma Drive, Maryville, IL 62062.
