Donald C. Grebel

Donald C. Grebel, age 89, of Glen Carbon, IL, formerly of Tempe, AZ, and Granite City, IL, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025. Don was born in Edwardsville, IL, on October 7, 1935, the son of the late Cletus and Leone (Spillman) Grebel. Don married Carol (Williams) Grebel in 1961. Besides his wife of 63 years, Don is survived by his two daughters Linda (Brian) Edwards and Patti (Jim) Carras; four grandchildren Emily and Melissa Edwards and Christi and Andrew Carras; sisters JoAnn Skrobul and Alice Grebel; and sister-in-law Lucille Mangoff. Don graduated from Edwardsville High School in 1953 and completed his BS degree at SIUE. Don enjoyed fishing, Dixieland music, entertaining, tinkering and sharing his life stories.  A private burial service was held at Calvary Cemetery in Edwardsville.  Condolences may be expressed online at weberfuneralhome.com
