Dolores Mary Smith

Dolores Mary Smith, age 90, of Edwardsville, IL, passed on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Eden Village Care Center in Glen Carbon. Dolores was born on January 18, 1936, in Edwardsville, IL, the daughter of the late John & Anna (Hubert) Amistadi.  Dolores married Robert “Bob” Smith in Troy, IL, on May 21, 1955. Bob preceded Dolores in death on February 21, 2002.  Dolores is survived by her two sons, Robert “Bob” J. Smith, of Edwardsville IL, and John A. Smith & wife Melinda, of Collinsville, IL; a daughter, Susan M. Franke & husband Bill, Arizona City, AZ; five grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret Moody, of Worden IL.  Besides her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by a sister, Gaciodena Kruschik; and three brothers, Fred Hubert, John Amistadi, Jr., & Leon Amistadi.   Dolores worked at Rohrkaste Dairy for 22 years and A&W Drive in Edwardsville for 25 years.  Dolores was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville. She was a past member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society and a eucharistic minister.  A visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville from 9:30 am until 11:00 am.  A funeral Mass will follow also at the church at 11:00 am with the Very Rev. Jeffrey Goeckner. Interment will be at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Edwardsville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Boniface Angel Fund, Arthritis Foundation, or the American Heart Association.   Condolences may be shared online at weberfuneralhome.com.
