Conny Lynn Menoni Kappler

Conny Lynn Menoni Kappler, 79, of Glen Carbon, IL, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on February 4, 2025.
Conny was born August 16, 1945, in Edwardsville, IL. Her early life was filled with warmth and the love of family.  She was preceded in death by her parents Leonard A. and Irma (nee Timar) Menoni, brother, Stephen Menoni and nephew, Keien Burcham.
She is survived by her lifelong friend and devoted husband, Robert Kappler (Bob,), whom she married June 26, 2004; brother, Leonard L. Menoni (Connie) of St. Jacob, IL; sister, Linda (nee Menoni) Huckaby  of Edwardsville, IL; bonus children, Sara (nee Kappler) Vaughn of Florissant, MO; Brian Kappler (Sarajane) of St. Louis, MO; John Caesar of Kenosha, WI; and bonus grandson, Joshua Vaughn of Florissant, MO. 
Having no children of her own, Conny became a second mother to her nieces, Shell and Heather and her nephew, Keien and their children. Her fur babies, Ty, Midnight and Annie made her life “purrfect” and preceded her in death.
After graduating from Edwardsville High School in 1963, Conny embarked on her career with Florist Mutual Insurance Company.  Her professional journey flourished as she held distinguished management positions that took her to Texas and Florida before returning home to be closer to her family. After moving back, she joined her high school Reunion Committee and donated many hours of her time as Committee Secretary and aided in the preparation of the Reunion Booklet.  Conny continued her administrative career until her retirement in 2019.
In retirement, Conny embraced life with creativity and joy. She redecorated her home, traveled with family and friends and rediscovered her love of nature. She always cherished family time and looked forward to the holidays.  Conny was a devoted Christian and a member of St. Boniface Church in Edwardsville, IL. 
Conny’s imprint is one of kindness and generosity. Her beautiful smile, sense of humor and unforgettable spirit will continue inspiring and uplifting all who knew her. 
Visitation will be held at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home Monday, February 10, 2025, from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Boniface Church Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 11 a.m. with interment at St. Boniface cemetery.
