Christine D. Nichols

Christine D. Nichols, age 69, passed away on December 1, 2025, at her home in Bunker Hill, IL.

Born on April 21, 1956, in East St. Louis, IL, Christine was the daughter of the late Bobby and Barbara (nee Cheatham) Garrison.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Peter Nichols of Bunker Hill, IL. Her siblings are Brenda Sue Masi, of Shelbyville, KY, Steve Garrison, of San Diego, CA, and Mary Lee Knecht, of Sacramento, CA. She is also survived by her daughter, Stacey Michelle Fuller (nee Humke), and Stacey’s husband, Michael Alan Fuller of Creve Coeur, MO.

Christine is also survived by three stepsons: Nathan John Albert Nichols (Lenise), of Edwardsville, IL, Benjamin Ryan Nichols, of Granite City, IL, and Ian Joseph Nichols, of Granite City, IL. Her grandchildren are Zachary Merrel Hayes and his wife, Taylor Hayes (nee Bowers), of St. Peters, MO, and Allison Marlene Hayes, of Chicago, IL. Her step-grandchildren are Evelyn Maureen Nichols and Nathan Maxwell Nichols, of Edwardsville, IL, Laken Elizabeth Nichols, of Granite City, IL, and Zoey Christine Nichols, of Valmeyer, IL. Her step-great-grandson is Oliver (Hayes) Smith, of St. Peters, MO.

Holidays were very special for Chris. She loved getting the house ready, decorating for each season, and celebrating with family.

 After retiring from Trebla Chemical Company, she devoted her time to caring for her mother, working in her garden, and keeping the flowers around her home in bloom. Her family will remember her deep love of family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville from 10:00 am until 11:30 am. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:30 am  at the funeral home with Rev. John Wehrle presiding. The family suggests memorials to Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
