Cheri L. Pilla

Cheri L. Pilla, age 71, of Edwardsville, IL, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025, at her residence in Edwardsville.  Cheri was born in Middletown, MO, on March 28, 1954, the daughter of the late Walter & Faun (Cowan) Rabe.  Cheri married Anthony “Tony” Pilla in January 1975, at Sacred Heart Church of Florissant and just recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.  Besides her husband, Cheri is survived by her two sons, Andrew Pilla, of Alton, IL, and Daniel Pilla, of St. Peters, MO; her twin granddaughters, Adriana and Isabella Pilla; and a sister, Cindy Schultz, of Shrewsbury, MO.  Besides her parents Cheri was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rachel Nicole Pilla; and a sister, Lana Barlow.  In 1988 Cheri and her family moved to the area and she began her career for the Edwardsville Community Unit School District #7.  After almost 25 years she retired from the school district with the last eight years at Liberty Middle School.  After retirement Cheri enjoyed working on her farm and attending to her flowers & plants. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev.
