Charles Donald Muckensturm

Charles Donald Muckensturm, age 93, of Edwardsville, IL, formerly of Eureka, MO, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025, in Edwardsville. Charles was born on Dec. 5, 1931, the son of the late Charles & Emma (Stockman) Muckensturm. He is survived by his wife Dixie L. Muckensturm whom he married in Eureka, Missouri in 1988; one son Mark Muckensturm & wife Jan of Edwardsville; stepson, James Bommel of St. Louis; stepdaughter, Michelle Reinheimer & husband Dan of Dallas, TX; and five step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister Marilyn Witkus.  Charles served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, he graduated from the University of Missouri in 1958, with an Electrical Engineering Degree. Charles then went on to work for Illinois Power for over 25 years, retiring in 1989. He was cremated according to his wishes and will be buried at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis with military honors. Condolences may be expressed online at weberfuneralhome.com.
