Charles Kern

Charles A. Kern, age 90, of Edwardsville, IL, formerly of Duquoin, IL, died November 9, 2002, at Rosewood Care Center in Edwardsville, IL. Funeral services at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 12, 2002, at Sacred Heart Cemetery in DuQuoin, IL. Burial was at Sacred Heart Cemetery in DuQuoin, IL. Mr. Kern retired from RAMAPO AJAX CO., a division of American Brake Shoe Co. After retirement, he worked as a custodian at Leclaire School, retiring in 1976. He is survived by a daughter, June Weber of Edwardsville, 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, a brother-in-law, Cecil Slate, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy (Slate) Kern, 2 brothers and a sister.
