Amy Daggett Obituary

Amy M. Daggett, age 51, of Edwardsville, IL, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.

Amy was born on August 13, 1973, in Dallas, TX, the daughter of Thomas & Carlene (Morris) Fonsecca. Amy married Bryon A. Daggett on November 19, 2016, in Edwardsville. Besides her parents and husband, Amy is survived by her six children; Jerry "Marty" Haynes, of Edwardsville, IL, Sarah Haynes, of Neveda, TX, Summer Werner & wife Sabrina, of Rockland, MA, Zachary Haynes, of Fairview Heights, Hannah Williams & husband Jacob of Granite City, IL, and Phillip Richardson, of Edwardsville, IL; seven grandchildren, Salem Werner, Joseph "JoJo" Wheeler, Iris Williams, Emma Betts, Malayah Lopez, Rachel Gonzales, and Harley Teague; four siblings, Thomas Fonsecca, of Mesquite, TX, Leslie Wolfe & husband Chris, of Nevada, TX, Shelley Shelton & husband Robbie, of Terrell, TX, and Nathan Fonsecca, of Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Amy had a huge heart and lived a family-oriented life. With raising 6 kids and caring for wildlife alongside her loving husband, she loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She led an eclectic life with many hobbies and experiences, through expressing herself with painting or photography, or going out to see the nightlife with the intricacies of food and fun to be had. She was always a beautiful spirit to be in company with. Amy faced many hardships in life but persevered through them with a relentless spirit and never stopped caring for those in her life. Her memory and spirit lives amongst us as a reminder to cherish family and life’s complexities with a smile.  A visitation will be on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville. The family requests memorials to Treehouse Wildlife Center in Dow, Illinois, as well as the Illinois Center for autism.  Condolences may be expressed online at weberfuneralhome.com.
