Wilma L. Halbe

April 17, 1933 - December 29, 2021

Wilma L. Halbe, age 88, of Hudson, WI, formerly of Owatonna, MN, was called home on Dec 29, 2021. She was born in Edwardsville, IL, on April 17th, 1933, the daughter of William and Augusta Gieseking (Klenke). She married Vernon L Halbe, August 16th, 1952. United in their love for God and each other they raised a family and strived to live their lives with eyes fixed on Jesus, serving Him and honoring His Name. After her husband's death in November of 1987, Wilma continued in her own quiet way of reaching out as the heart and hands of Jesus, especially through hands folded in prayer. It is her prayer that all receive the Gospel message and see their need for a Savior and come to know the wonder and depth of God's divine love for them in Jesus. "But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name." John 20:31 She is survived by her three children; Debbie Georg of Celina, Texas, Dennis Halbe (Joyce) Eagan, MN; Vickie Vannatta (Steve) of Hudson, WI, formerly of Owatonna, MN; eight grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Gerry Renken of Alton, IL and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Florence; sister Mildred Wooldridge of Edwardsville, IL.; infant daughter Catherine Joan and infant son Duane Allan.
