Michelle R. Gentzyel

Michelle R. Gentzyel, age 56, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 12:39 pm at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL, on December 3, 2021. Michelle was born November 20, 1965, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Barbara J. (Miller) Keiley and the late Philip D. Beadles. Michelle married Douglas S. Gentzyel on September 4, 1993 in Decatur, IL. Besides her husband of 28 years, Michelle is survived by three daughters, Nichole Alexander & husband Tanner, of Edwardsville, Danielle Smith & husband Huston, of Leland, NC, and Joelle Dyer, of Springfield, MO; a son, Nathanael Gentzyel, of Granite City; four grandchildren, Camden & Ava Alexander, Ethan Dyer, and Colby Gentzyel; a sister, Alicia Tran, of San Diego, CA; two brothers, Les Beadles & wife Lorene, of Cedar City, UT, and Mike Beadles & wife Marci, of Nampa, ID; and numerous nieces & nephews. Michelle was an avid reader and very active in her church. Michelle dedicated her life taking care of others, running a daycare for 22 years before transitioning over to adult home health care. Her greatest joy was being a Nana to her grandkids. A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Oliver Beans presiding. Michelle was cremated according to her wishes. Family request memorials to Moundford Free Methodist Church or The Bridge Church.
