James (Jim) B. McCracken

James (Jim) B. McCracken, age 77, of Edwardsville, IL, passed away at 9:52 pm on December 31, 2020. Jim was born on January 12, 1943, in Springfield, TN, the son of the late Ernest B. & Dorothy E. (Long) McCracken. Jim married Diana L. Augustine on November 28, 2003, at St. Boniface Church in Edwardsville. Besides his wife, Jim is survived by a daughter, Kathryn McCracken of Florissant, MO; a sister, Trish Fabio & husband Michael, of Fairfax, VA; a nephew, Christopher Fabio & wife Erin, of Falls Church, VA; and a great niece, Rowan Fabio. Besides his parents, Jim was also preceded by a son, Jimmy McCracken. Jim was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked at the Hussman Corporation for 30 years before his retirement in 2013. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville, Metro East Social Singles, and also a member of the Edwardsville Gun Club. In his spare time Jim like to dance and travel with his wife Diana. A memorial service will be held at a later date. He was cremated according to his wishes. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, American Heart Association, or Metro East Humane Society. Weber & Rodney Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
